Damage to a Building

We know that form filling is a real pain, but we do need you to let us have the details requested so that we can get on with dealing with your claim.

What should I do now?

If you have already phoned our emergency line and we have instructed a contractor, we will be in touch with you on receipt of your claim details. If not, and you would like us to instruct a contractor urgently call us now on 0870 241 6103.

Alternatively, we have no problem with you arranging for emergency repairs to be carried out by your own contractor. Please keep any bills as they may form part of your claim. Before full repairs are completed, you must give us the opportunity of inspecting the damage.

Temporary repairs necessary to make your home weatherproof may commence immediately but bills must be sent to us as the cost may form part of your claim. We must be given the opportunity to arrange inspection of the damage, before permanent repairs commence.

Please send to:

If you have a favourite contractor who you would like to do the repairs, please forward their estimate detailing the work needed.

What will we do?

We will aim to settle your claim as quickly as possible and on receipt of your claim details we will contact you within 1 week.

It may be necessary for one of our staff or a Loss Adjuster to visit you. This is a normal claims procedure so please do not worry. We will let you know if this is necessary on receipt of your claim details.

How long will it take to settle my claim?

In the unfortunate event of you needing to claim on the policy, you will find our claims teams proffessional and efficient. We will however settle your claim as quickly as we can.

We are committed to minimising paperwork and pride ourselves on the service standard that we provide.
